The following scholarship recognition/awards are selected by the scholarship board and presented to the $3000 scholarship awardees for the following reasons:
Col Bill Haney, USA (Ret) Scholarship in Recognition of Leadership Excellence
Applicants for the Col Bill Haney Scholarship must demonstrate a significant level of leadership either through their school or outside activities.
Applicants will be judged on their leadership and scholastic standings.
Applicants are required to submit:
** A record of their leadership
** Two Letters of Reference regarding their leadership roles, skills and successes.

Capt Ken Wiecking, USN (Ret) Scholarship in Recognition of Volunteerism Excellence
Applicants for the Capt Ken Wiecking Scholarship must demonstrate a continued and dedicated commitment to Volunteerism throughout their High School years.
Applicants will be judged on their volunteerism and scholastic standings.
Applicants are required to submit:
** A record of their volunteerism
** Two Letters of Reference regarding their volunteerism and level of commitment.

Capt Jim Hickerson, USN (Ret) Scholarship in Recognition of Character Excellence
Applicants for the Capt Jim Hickerson Scholarship must demonstrate a high level of Character in their daily activities.
Applicants will be judged on their character and scholastic standings.
Applicants must submit:
** Two Letters of Reference regarding their character and how they react to situations, including adversities.

MG Rockly Triantafellu, USAF (Ret) Scholarship in Recognition of Technical Excellence
Applicants for the MG Rockly Triantafellu Scholarship must demonstrate high level of hands on technical excellence in Computers, Electrical Engineering or other related areas of study.
Applicants will be judged on their achievements within their technical field and on their scholastic standings.
** Two Letters of Reference regarding ttheir hands on technical excellence and achievement in Computers, Electrical Engineering or other related areas of study.

MG Eugene Renzi, USA (Ret) Scholarship in Recognition of Professional Excellence.
Applicants for the MG Eugene Renzi Scholarship must demonstrate a high level of professionalism in their day to day interactions at school, extracurricular activities or outside organizations.
Applicants will be judged on their professionalism and on their scholastic standings.
** Two Letters of Reference regarding how they routinely demonstrate professional behavior.

** Standard Requirements
LTG Thomas Rienzi, USA (Ret). Scholarship in Recognition of Communications Excellence.
Applicants of the LTG Thomas Rienzi Scholarship must demonstrate a practical use of technology in communications.
Applicants will be judged on their practical application of technology in communications and on their scholastic standings.
** Two Letters of Reference regarding their hands on technical excellence and achievement in Communications.
** State of Hawaii Resident
** Applicant must attend a University within the State of Hawaii.
ADM Richard Macke, USN (Ret) Scholarship in Recognition of Hard Science Technical Excellence.
Applicants of the ADM Richard Macke Scholarship must demonstrate a practical technical excellence in a Hard Science - Mathematics, Engineering, Computers/Networks, Physics, Chemistry or Biology.
Applicants will be judged on their technical, practical excellence in their given field and on their scholastic standings.
** Two Letters of Reference regarding their practical application and knowledge of their chosen science.

Donna Russell Distinguished Service STEM Teacher Scholarship
Applicants of the Donna Russell Distinguished Service STEM Teacher Scholarship must either be an undergraduate, graduate or credential/ licensure student attending a college or university in the State of Hawaii for the purpose of teaching a STEM subject at a middle or secondary school in the State of Hawaii.
Applicants will be judged on their technical, practical excellence in their given field and on their scholastic standings.
** Two Letters of Reference regarding their practical application and knowledge of their chosen science.
