We plan to invite all scholarship winners to AFCEA Hawaii’s monthly membership luncheon (https://afcea-hawaii.org/) on July 8, 2014.

In 2013, AFCEA Hawaii Educational Foundation awarded 33 scholarships to qualified Hawaii students for a total of $75,000.  The scholarships were $2000 each and Seven of the students received named scholarships:

• The COL Bill Haney, USA (Ret) Award for Leadership
• The CAPT Ken Wiecking, USN (Ret) Award for Community Service
• The CAPT Jim Hickerson, USN (Ret) Award for Academic Achievement
• The Maj Gen Rockly Triantafellu, USAF (Ret) Award for Academic Achievement
• The Maj Gen Eugene Renzi, USA (Ret) Award for Professional Excellence
• The ADM Dick Macke, USN (Ret) Award for Service Excellence
• The Lt Gen Thomas Rienzi Scholarship, USA (Ret) for communication excellence

AFCEA Hawaii Educational Foundation added The SMSgt Robert Ventura, USAF (Ret) Award for Cyber Security and Intelligence (post graduate degree) for 2014.
